Arizona criminal records are controlled by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. If you were told that you need your Arizona criminal records as part of an Arizona background check, then you will need to contact this office to acquire them.
In order to access your Arizona criminal records, you will need to:

Step 1: Contact the Arizona Department of Public Safety to obtain a Record Review Packet. Refer to the department address indicated below. This record is designed solely for those individuals who want to review their own criminal record for accuracy.
Step 2: Your Record Review Packet will contain an instruction sheet, blank fingerprint card, contact information sheet, and pre-addressed return envelope.
Step 3: Send your completed Record Review Packet to the address outlined below. You will receive a response within 15 days, and there is no fee to access your own criminal record.

Arizona Court Records
In order to access Arizona court records, you will need to contact the Arizona Judicial Branch. If you need this information as part of an Arizona background check, you are able to search through cases that are of public record. A public search will not show sealed cases, non-served domestic violence cases, mental health cases, juvenile incorrigible/delinquency cases, or victim and witness data.

Arizona Court Case Search
Arizona Jail Records
Arizona jail records are available from the Arizona Department of Corrections if they are needed for Arizona background checks. The ADC allows you to see a list of Death Row inmates, a Most Wanted list of escaped inmates, and a list of male and female escapees.
You can also conduct an inmate data search on the Arizona Deparment of Corrections website. The data search allows you to search by last name or ADC number. You will be able to view basic inmate data, commitment and sentence information, profile classification, infractions, parole action and placement, work program, warrants, and aliases.
To search for jail records online do the following:

Arizona Driving Records
Arizona driving records are available through the Arizona Department of Transportation. Should you need Arizona driving records as part of an Arizona background check, then you can access records through the ServiceArizona online services. This service allows Arizona residents to search the EZ MVR for Driver License Motor Vehicle Record 39-month Uncertified and Title and Registration Motor Vehicle Records.
Be advised that you are only able to obtain and print a copy of your own Arizona driving record. Keep in mind that not every employer will accept an uncertified copy of your Arizona driving record as part of your Arizona background check.
In order to receive a copy of your Arizona driving record online, you will be required to:
Step 1: Enter and confirm your personal information including nme, driver license number, date of birth, social security number and eye color. Step 2: Submit a fee of $3 to view your record. If you have multiple records, you will only be able to view one at a time. Additional records have to be requested separately and will be charged the $3 fee for each one. The website will accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa for payment. Step 3: To receive records on title and registration, you will need to provide your VIN number and zip code.Be sure that your web browser supports secure socket layer and that you have a working ink jet or laser printer with 8.5x11 inch white paper. You will be billed as soon as results are displayed, even if the results are a “result not found” answer.
