Florida Criminal Records

If you need Florida criminal records as part of a Florida background check, then you will need to contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. This department is responsible for maintaining criminal records in the state of Florida and providing it to the public when requested. Criminal history information records serious arrests in the state of Florida. In order to guarantee that a particular record belongs to the individual in question, a fingerprint card will need to be submitted. The information that you submit must be accurate in order for search results to be valid.

There is a chance that no record will be found for your request, at which point it will be returned marked in red ink that no criminal record was found for the state of Florida. This occurs if the person has never been arrested or fingerprinted, has a record that is sealed or expunged, fingerprints are not yet on file, subject was arrested as a juvenile, or the subject was arrested by a different state or federal agency other than the state of Florida.

For you to receive Florida criminal records, you will need to:

Step 1: Fill out a criminal history information request form. Click Here.
Step 2: Include payment. There is a $24 fee to process your request.
Step 3: Mail completed application and payment to the address indicated on the form. Requests take approximately five business days to complete, excluding mailing time.

Florida Court Records

If you need Florida court records for a Florida background check, then you can visit MyFloridaCounty.com, which is operated by the Florida Local Government Internet Consortium, inclusive of the Florida Clerks of Court, Florida Tax Collectors, and the Florida Association of Court Clerks Services Group. This website has been designed to make government records easier to access, and it is the first of its kind in the nation.

The website maintains all official records that are required or authorized to be recorded. You can conduct your searches by county, judicial circuit, region, or statewide. If you plan on conducting many Florida background checks, then the most affordable way to access Florida court records is to become a subscriber. Subscribers have unlimited access to search services and will only be charged $2.00 per document for official records.

You will be required to log into the service using a password, and you can create up to 5 users for the annual subscription fee of $120. You can add additional users for just $10 per year. You will then be billed monthly for any Florida background checks that you perform, and you can pay your bill using money order, cashier’s check, or company check. Non-subscribers will pay a $1 fee per page, as well as the certified document fee and convenience fee of $3.50

Florida Jail Records

If you need Florida jail records for Florida background checks, then you will need to contact the Florida Department of Corrections. The website of this department allows you to do a free inmate search. Search results can be narrowed by name, DC number, physical characteristics, type of crime, county where convicted, and current location. If you are unsure about certain information, then you should leave the category marked as “all” in order to see more results. The Florida Department of Corrections strives to keep Florida jail records up-to-date, however, given the constantly changing statuses, information cannot be guaranteed.

Florida Driving Records

If you need to access Florida driving records for Florida background checks, then you will need to contact the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. The Florida DMV allows you to access your own record immediately via email or by mail request.

There are three types of Florida driving records that you can choose – a complete Florida driving history, a 3 year driver history, and a 7 year driver history. When accessing these driving histories online, a complete Florida driving record costs $26.85, a 7 year driving record costs $23.85, and a 3 year driving record costs $20.85.

Alternatively, you can submit a written request to the Florida DMV. This request requires your full name, birth date, social security number, driver’s license number, and a return address. You should allow 30 days to receive your request through the mail. Fees for Florida driving records through the mail are $8 for a 3 year, $10 for a 7 year, and $10 for a certified copy.
