Idaho Background Checks

When it comes to someone's personal history, learning about who they truly are can be an uphill battle. As much as you may ask them for details of their life, there is no way to know - and certainly no way to guarantee - that the information you get back is accurate. They could be lying, forgetting things, or simply too shy to give you that information.

Luckily, you have the ability to perform Idaho background checks, so that you no longer have to trust everything the person says to you. Instead, simply type their name into a people search engine, click search, and get access to the people of interest to you.

Where Does This Data Come From?

Idaho background checks come from public records. Public records are records collected by the government in state and local government offices. Thanks to public records law, these must be made public and anyone is supposed to be allowed to access them.

So what these websites did was take that same information and place it in public records databases. That way you don't have to request the information yourself and wait for the long delays, only to find out that the data you requested is not the data you needed.

Instead, you simply need to search for the person you're looking for and view the results. It's fast and simple, and able to return information on almost everyone living in Idaho.

It may be too hard to trust people at their word anymore, but that does not mean you can't go through other channels. These Idaho background checks give you that channel into a person's past.

If you are researching Idaho criminal records for Idaho background checks, then you will need to contact the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification. This department is responsible for keeping track of Idaho criminal records, as well as lists of sex offenders, missing persons, and more.

In the state of Idaho, non-law enforcement and non-criminal justice agencies, as well as individuals, can receive records maintained by the Bureau of Criminal Identification. The process is often used for Idaho background checks or for persons who want to review their personal record for inaccuracies. However, no one can access a copy of Idaho criminal records on another person without their signed consent.

There are two ways to run Idaho background checks using Idaho criminal records – a fingerprint based check and a name based check. For a fingerprint based check, you will need to submit a complete set of rolled fingerprints, along with a Fingerprint Criminal Background Check Form.

You will need the name of the person, aliases, current address, date and place of birth, reason for being fingerprinted, and other information, as well as the person’s signature. The person taking the fingerprints must sign and date the card, and the prints must be less than 180 days old when submitted. There is a $10 fee for each Idaho criminal records check, and fingerprinting services are $5 for one card or $10 for two or more.

For a name based Idaho criminal records check, you will need to:

Keep in mind that this Idaho background check is often less accurate than a fingerprint based check, as many criminals will use aliases. Without a waiver, you will not be able to access an arrest more than 12 months old. The signatures on waivers are only accurate for 180 days.
