Rhode Island driving records for your Rhode Island background check may be obtained through the State of Rhode Island Motor Vehicle records website. This website encompasses driving and vehicle report information. Driving record information will only go back as far as three years and are official copies of records maintained by the State of Rhode Island Motor Vehicle department. The website offers a verification service of records located within the website as well.
To obtain a licensed driver's record, the last name, date of birth, zip code, and driver's license number are required. There is a $19.50 fee for each record obtained. All records adhere to the Federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act of 1994 and will not reveal personal information, such as address and social security number. However, any driving infractions will be listed, including the date of the infraction and any jail time or fines paid.
