Court Record Resources

A statutory definition of criminal history record information is available in 16 MRSA ยง611(3).

The criminal history record information system in Maine includes summaries of information about adults and their passage through the state's criminal justice system. Data may be supplied by law enforcement agencies, courts, prosecutors and correctional facilities throughout the state and as such it is important to note that fingerprints are required for a certain match. As many people often use aliases in the commission of crimes, fingerprints are the only sure way to ID an individual.
