The New Hampshire Right to Know Law is a collection of statutes specifically created to ensure that the public has full access to the public records of government agencies in New Hampshire.

"Openness in the conduct of public business is essential to a democratic society. The purpose of this chapter is to ensure both the greatest possible public access to the actions, discussions and records of all public bodies, and their accountability to the people." -Excerpt from the Preamble to the Public Records and Meetings statute

The statute states that any citizen of the state may request public records access.
